The Oral Treatment Center of Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College, established in 1976, is a modern dental outpatient clinic that is known for its beautiful environment, state-of-the-art equipment, and advanced technology. It integrates medical treatment, teaching, research, and prevention, providing comprehensive dental care services. The center currently employs over 90 medical staff, including 49 doctors. Among them are 12 professors and associate professors, 10 master's supervisors, 5 Ph.D. degree holders, 40 master's degree holders, and 7 Ph.D. candidates. Additionally, there are one deputy chief nurse and two head nurses. All attending doctors have graduated from prestigious schools of stomatology, possessing solid theoretical knowledge and extensive clinical experience.
The Oral Treatment Center currently consists of the Departments of Oral Medicine, Prosthodontics, Implant Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Specialized Oral Outpatient Services, with two operational centers including the Implant Surgery Center and the Dental Cleaning Center. In addition to addressing common oral diseases, we specialize in advanced treatments such as dental implant, instant implant, CAD/CAM chairside ceramic denture restoration, invisible orthodontics, early childhood orthodontics, systemic treatment of oral mucosal/periodontal diseases, teeth whitening, microendodontic surgery, minimally invasive tooth extraction, electrocardiogram monitoring tooth extraction, orthognathic surgery, and oral and maxillofacial tumor surgery, among others. The center possesses unique diagnostic and treatment experience in tackling complex oral diseases. Its patient base covers neighboring cities such as Nanchong, Guang'an, Suining, Dazhou, and Guangyuan, with the service level ranking among the top in the northeastern Sichuan region.
The Oral Treatment Center has four national standardized residency training bases for residents in general dentistry, oral medicine, orthodontics, and maxillofacial surgery. Each year, more than 20 social trainees and professional master's students are recruited, cultivating a large number of outstanding dental practitioners for the community. Multiple continuing education training sessions are held annually to enhance theoretical knowledge exchange, standardize dental diagnosis and treatment procedures, and continuously improve the level of oral diagnosis and treatment in Nanchong region.
The Oral Treatment Center is equipped with 53 imported comprehensive dental treatment chairs, as well as Noble, SIC, Osstem, and Wego dental implant systems, imported ultrasonic bone scalpel, laser therapy equipment, high-frequency electric scalpel, ultrasonic root and canal treatment instrument, ATR motor, EMS dental cleaning machine, 3shape intraoral scanner, endodontic microscope, painless anesthesia machine, CAD/CAM chairside ceramic denture restoration system, large field of view CBCT, panoramic X-ray machine, and digital dental X-ray machine, among other imported medical equipment.
We strictly adhere to the Ministry of Health's "Hospital Disinfection Technical Regulations" and implement infection testing, supervision, and management according to international standards. We have three imported fully automatic pre-vacuum high-pressure steam sterilizers, fully automatic disinfection machines, and electric heating sealing machines dedicated to dental instrument disinfection and sterilization. The department is supported by dedicated disinfection nurses who have undergone professional training. All instruments and equipment that come into contact with oral tissues are strictly disinfected and sterilized according to procedures. Instruments directly in contact with oral tissues are designated for single use, including one drill head and one bur per person, to prevent cross-infection.
